Eric Villency

Inc. Magazine named Eric Villency as one of the most influential designers to watch and Well+Good has called him “The wizard of wellness design” and a “design genius” for his innovative work in the fitness industry.  
Villency’s unique multidisciplinary approach to design has produced a prolific body of work that includes sports stadiums, airport terminals, hotels, hospitals, large-scale art installations, fitness equipment, performance apparel, fashion, automotive design, furniture, consumer electronics and product design.
His extensive work in fitness includes Rumble boxing, Barry's Bootcamp along with the iconic original Soul Cycle bike as well as the ubiquitous interactive Peloton bike-named “best Cardio Machine on the planet ” by Men’s Health.   He appears frequently as a design expert on national television in addition to authoring numerous articles on the subject. Villency has lectured at Savanah College of Art and Design, FIT, The Wharton School and the MIT Sloan School of Management and been honored for his achievements in design with awards from FIT and the IFDA.  He serves on the board of directors for Operation Renewed Hope Foundation dedicated to ending veteran homelessness.

Design Work

In addition to product design and development work for influential brands including eBay, Soul Cycle, IMG, Equinox, Bloomingdale’s and the CFDA, Villency’s notable interior design work includes numerous facilities for Delta Airlines and Mercedes-Benz, The Sterling Suites at the New York Mets Citi Field stadium and executive offices for NBC News. He also designed, built and developed @250, a wellness-focused boutique retail development on Long Island, NY. Villency’s hospitality projects include The Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach, W Hotels, Sheraton, The Bryant Park Hotel, St. Vincent’s hospital and the Plaza Hotel Residences.

Television

In addition to his design work, Eric has appeared as a regularly contributing design and lifestyle expert on NBC’s Today in addition to segments for Good Morning AmericaPBSThe Tyra Banks ShowHGTV, and the Travel Channel. He has produced and hosted numerous pieces on design, lifestyle and wellness, and interviewed notable personalities including Christiane Amanpour, Terrance Howard and John McEnroe.
